MPI Cable

MPI (Multi-Protocol Interface) cables are used with LG commercial and hospitality TVs and STBs to support communication, control, and integration between devices such as LG Set-Top Boxes (e.g., LG 6500 STB) and Pro:Centric TVs.

PRIMARY USES

• TV Control & Synchronization
• MPI cables enable seamless control between an LG STB and a compatible LG TV. This includes:
  • Power synchronization (TV turns on/off with STB)
  • Input source switching
  • Volume control and IR pass-through
  • IR Blaster Functionality
• In setups where IR remotes are used, the MPI cable can act as a communication bridge, allowing the STB to pass IR signals directly to the TV.
• Simplified Installations
• Reduces the need for separate control systems or extra wiring by handling multiple control protocols in one connection.
